Every postmortem asks what went wrong during the response. What often gets missed is the foundation that was already there before the page fired: the ownership, the runbook, the last deploy. We'll follow one incident from page to postmortem, then go back to the platform work that made it possible, including how to use AI to augment incident response.
We'll cover:
- What good looks like end-to-end: one incident from page to postmortem, investigated, remediated, and documented in one place
- The foundation underneath it: ownership and on-call in the service catalog, runbooks and dependencies attached, readiness tracked on scorecards
- Where AI actually augments the response, from catching responders up to drafting the postmortem, and the platform data it needs to do it

The tokenisation of regulated real-world assets has led to multiple institutional implementations of the same financial instruments, each operating on its own infrastructure with few shared patterns for how those infrastructures interoperate. As a result, tokenised assets remain confined to the environment they were issued in, accessible only to counterparties already inside the same institutional perimeter.
The IPRAM Lab ([https://github.com/LFDT-IPRAM](https://github.com/LFDT-IPRAM)) develops open implementation patterns for the interoperation of tokenised real-world regulated financial assets and the markets they participate in. This session introduces the lab's mission, scope, and the initial interoperability challenges it aims to address. All interested parties are invited to join!

Large language models, AI assistants, and search engines are rapidly becoming some of our most important content consumers. But most content strategies are still designed with only human audiences in mind. In this session, Jackie Pysarchuk introduces the concept of the robot personaโa practical framework for designing content that serves both people and AI systems. Expanding on ideas from her forthcoming article on the Button blog, attendees will explore how content structure, metadata, governance, and lifecycle management influence AI visibility and answer quality, and leave with practical ideas they can apply to make their content more discoverable, understandable, and useful in an AI-driven world.
**About Jackie**
Jackie Pysarchuk is Senior Director, Web Content and Strategy at the American Bankers Association and a content strategist specializing in enterprise web strategy, governance, and AI-ready content. Throughout her career, she has helped organizations including the American College of Cardiology, Northrop Grumman, and Yes& build scalable content systems that improve both user experience and business outcomes. Jackie writes and speaks about the future of content strategy, with a focus on designing content for AI, search, and emerging digital experiences. Her latest work introduces the concept of the "robot persona," encouraging content teams to treat AI systems as a first-class audience alongside humans.

An online session introducing the Personal Data Portability Protocol (PDPP), following its public announcement at the Global Digital Collaboration Conference in Geneva. This is the online counterpart to Geneva for everyone who could not be there: what the specification defines (user-authorized access to specific personal data, built on OAuth 2.0 and RFC 9396), what the August working sessions changed in the draft, and how to take part in the public comment period. Format is roughly 40 minutes of presentation and demonstration, followed by 20 minutes of questions.

Join us for a discussion about the new VeltoraCore lab that is building a pair-coin, system-agnostic optimization engine that jointly coordinates user execution and LP participation in a single feasibility framework. A lightweight Proof-of-Optimization (PoO) mechanism cryptographically commits optimized batch outcomes to external system states, enabling verifiable cross-system settlement. Simulations on the ETHโUSD pair show superior retained execution and materially lower user fees relative to benchmarks, while delivering liquidity-provider returns higher with reduced volatility.
This is a great opportunity to talk to the developers about what they're building and to learn how to get involved if this sounds interesting.

After two years of hype, many enterprises feel theyโve overspent on AI infrastructure without realizing the promised value.
In this session, Dan Ciruli, Kelsey Hightower, and Luca Galante cut through the buzzwords to show what enterprise AI infrastructure actually looks like in production.
In most cases, it is often less about training models from scratch and more about how platform engineering teams can fold AI inference and fine-tuning directly into their existing infrastructure.
**Join the discussion to learn:**
1. Why you donโt need infrastructure for training models from scratch, and how to start treating inference and fine-tuning just like serving standard web APIs.
2. Strategies for folding AI workloads and autonomous agents into your existing heterogeneous environments (VMs + containers + legacy databases) without rebuilding everything.
3. How to build an Agentic Development Platform (ADP) based on actionable reference architectures to deploy real-world AI applications.

The Washington Area Unity Users Group (WAUUG) is back.
Weโre restarting the group with a casual meetup for Unity developers, game developers, artists, students, hobbyists, industry professionals, and anyone interested in building interactive experiences.
The goal is simple: get people in the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia game-development community back in the same room, meet each other, share what weโre working on, and start rebuilding a consistent local Unity community.
For this first meetup, expect a relaxed evening focused on introductions, networking, conversation, and talking about what everyone would like to see from WAUUG going forward. Future events may include developer talks, project demos, game-development workshops, game jams, technical deep dives, career discussions, competitions, and presentations from members of the local and broader Unity ecosystem.
You do **not** need to be a Unity expert. Beginners, students, experienced developers, indie creators, professional teams, and people who are simply curious about game development are all welcome.
If you have something you're building, bring it. If you have something you want to learn, bring questions. If you've been looking for other developers and creators in the area, come meet them.

A portal is just a front door. The real complexity of an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) sits in the backend layer beneath it. As autonomous AI agents begin using your platform, traditional setups built only for human developers face immediate security gaps and operational bottlenecks. Join Sameera Jayasoma and Lakmal Warusawithana, maintainers of the CNCF OSS project OpenChoreo, as they show how to build an agent-ready platform without a multi-year custom build.
In this session, you will learn:
- **Platform vs. portal:** Why a portal alone is not enough, and how owning the backend execution layer speeds up software delivery.
- **Designing for AI agents:** How to give AI agents their own identities, limited access, and safety rules when interacting with your APIs, shifting your engineering team from working _inside_ the loop to _orchestrating_ it.
- **Practical open source adoption:** How to use a modular architecture like OpenChoreo to connect the Kubernetes, CI/CD, and monitoring tools you already run, turning your existing tools into secure, agent-ready golden paths

Technology rarely decides whether a platform succeeds. New research from Octopus Deploy shows the difference comes down to how a platform gets rolled out, whether there's a clear strategy behind it, and how involved leadership stays.
Join the Octopus Deploy Developer Relations team as they unpack what The Future of Platform Engineering report found, and what to do about it.
Walk away knowing:
- Why mandated, organization-wide adoption is associated with markedly higher performance than opt-in, and how a platform is adopted matters more than most teams expect.
- Why building without a clear strategy is strongly associated with hitting obstacles, and where leadership engagement makes a difference for high performers
- How platform maturity shapes whether AI investment actually pays off
